Matt Chase is a 14 year old second generation racer from Northern California, you could say that Matt has a checkered past since he was born into a racing family. His father Dan was a campion kart and formula car racer. His older brother Mike was QMA California State champion in Quarter Midget's in 1998. Matt started racing indoor karts at LeMans Karting Center in Fremont California where he won 7 races in 15 starts in 2007. In 2008 Matt started racing 100cc outdoor karts winning his first race at the Stockton Motoplex in Stockton, California.


Currently, Matt competes in two classes, Jr. Sportsman & HPV-2 Junior against other 12-15 year olds in Northern California. Matt is a member of the Kinsman Kart Club in Dixon California, the same kart club his father belonged to back in the 1970's when he raced karts at the Vallejo Fairgrounds.


Matt's future plans are to continue kart racing for the next few years. He hopes to compete in the Mazda Rotax series and IKF Region 11 races next year. He also hopes to compete at some national level races. His long term plans are to compete in open wheel formula cars after he turns 16 years old.


Wherever there is a new challenge, Matt will be there! Danger and adversity is no match for his fierce competitive nature. By supporting young racers, you are supporting a good cause. Our race team continues to grow, as the excitement of extreme sports like karting takes the world by storm.
